Hello! We have a couple of wonderful folks doing picture books who are attending the Sunday Critique Group--which is great. I'm just wondering if there might be some more writers working in this genre who would like organize and meet up, too. I'd love to have a more specialized group to give leads to as people search out a critique niche. Thanks! Julie
Hi, Third Sunday folks! We've definitely evolved into a new group. Check out the Sunday Critique group for info, but know that we no longer meet third Sundays at 2. We are now each Sunday at 11:30 (or earlier as your schedule permits) at Barnes and Noble's coffee shop. Hope to see you there!
Thanks for being my "friend." And yes, the photo is the jacket of Bull Rider. I appreciate you ordering that too. It really helps me to have pre-orders and you'll like the book (I hope :)) I'm around. I'll definitely see you at the December Party.
Hi, thanks for writing me. I can't wait til our next meeting also. It's so great being around such fantastic writers.
I'm nearly finished with the rough draft of my book and I am hoping to have some of a rewrite done by our next meeting. I'm pretty scared though. The rough first chapter was torn to shreds last time and I'm worried I won't be able to improve it. Deep down, I know that's silly though. hahaha! Scary. : )
Somehow I missed you guys today! I went to both Borders bookstores today at 2pm, (first the one next to Bed Bath & Beyond, then the one in the Meadowood Mall) looking for the Third Sundays writers group, and I couldn't find anyone. I asked employees in both stores if they knew about any writers groups, and no one could give me any guidance. Help! Did I miss something?
I can't figure out how to send you a message so I'll just write on your wall... Anyway, I just wanted to tell you again how much I enjoyed reading your musings on motherhood Sunday. Have you ever read Anne Lamott's book "Operating Instructions" about her son's first year of life? Your work reminds me a little of hers, though yours is not as smart-alecky and much more heartfelt. Hope you write some more of those vignettes for next time!
