Andie! So glad you're here. I've been meaning to get back to you but disaster hit my hard drive and I lost everything, including email addys. Still want me to take a look at your pages?

Oh, and Brazenfurkulee? Much better than Berserkeley!

Hey Andie -- Feel free to send me your stuff anytime. Email's best, unless you're going to Big Sur. In that case, you may want to wait to had it to me in person?

Hi Andie! Yes, hubby came back from hunting with a big elk! At least the stupid head is out of my driveway and I can use my peripheral vision again when I walk to my car. How are you?

We e-mailed recently and Julia apologized for not having read the mss. yet. At least it's not a "no" (yet). What did you submit to her? I wish you all the best with that. Stay positive...and patient. I sent Banish to Julia back in July, but I know she's busy and I'm just happy that she wanted to see all of it. I did just get a rejection from Stephen Barbara on Banish but he said to feel free to submit other work to him. My skin is getting thicker as we speak. I saw Susan's note to you about Big Sur. Are you going? I'll be there. If you are it will be nice to see you yet again.

I'm working on a YA novel. I actually sped through the first part of it, but now that I'm at the end, it's like trimming one blade of grass at a time to get the words out.

It's kind of urban fantasy set at Summer Camp. I'll post the first chapter for critique tonight or tomorrow. I'm dying for some feedback.

Hey there. Banish the Brave was the YA fantasy that I worked on with Ellen in the Mentor Program. There is a romance between two of the characters but it's definitely a fantasy. I just finished the first draft of The Circle Journal which is an edgy YA about a teenage girl and her mom and the journal that saves thier relationship. I still have lots of work to do on that one but am glad to have the whole "shell" of a story done. Just to keep moving, I'm starting a middle grade novel. Like Dory says, "Just keep swimming, swimming."

I know! I love critique. I've never come away from a critique session with anything but a better manuscript.
